Our STORY
Taylor Toms started HER Group to create the kind of real estate experience she'd want for herself: personal, elevated and genuinely supportive from beginning to end. Not the biggest team, just an incredible one.
Today, HER Group is a boutique, highly productive team of three agents and a full time Director of Operations. That means more availability, more support and more hands on your move, while you always know exactly who you're working with. We live here, raise our families here and show up for this community, long after closing day.
Our Philosophy: Work Hard, Stay Positive & Be Kind.

Community EVENTS
HER Group has always been about people. Our clients get to know us through our events, our favourite local spots and everyday life, and we love staying connected long after the keys are handed over.
BE HER is more than an event, it's a community.
We created the series with one simple goal: to bring the women in our communities together to collaborate, connect, meet new people, support one another and have meaningful conversations.
Think reformer Pilates, wellness experiences, workshops, social nights and collaborations with the local studios and businesses we love. The name says it all: it's about becoming the woman you want to be, and having a community that cheers you on along the way. Whether you're a client, friend, local business owner, entrepreneur, mom or just looking to meet more amazing women in your community, there's a place for you here. Real estate may be what brought HER Group together, but community is a huge part of why we do what we do.

Frequently ASKED Questions
-
Start with a conversation. We'll walk you through the process, help you get pre-approved with a trusted mortgage professional and build a plan that fits your budget and timeline. You don't need to have it all figured out, that's our job.
-
It depends on your finances, the market and your comfort with risk. Selling first gives you certainty on your budget, while buying first secures your next home. We'll look at your situation and map out the option that makes the most sense, including how to time both closings.
-
In Canada, the minimum down payment is 5% on the first $500,000 of the purchase price, with higher minimums above that. You'll also want to budget for closing costs like land transfer tax, legal fees and inspections. First-time buyers in Ontario may qualify for a land transfer tax rebate. A mortgage professional can give you exact numbers, and we're happy to make the introduction.
-
Earlier than you think. Reaching out months before you plan to move gives you time to get pre-approved, understand the market and prepare. There's never any pressure to act before you're ready.
-
Online estimates are a starting point, but they can't see your renovations, your street or current buyer demand. We'll prepare a detailed market evaluation based on recent local sales and your home's unique features.
-
Talk to us first, before you paint or renovate. We'll tell you which updates are worth it and which aren't, help with decluttering and staging, and can arrange a pre-list inspection so there are no surprises.
-
Every listing gets a custom plan that can include staging, professional photography, video, drone, floor plans, a property website, feature books, social media campaigns, open houses and weekly reporting. We market every home like it matters, because it does.
-
Simcoe County and York Region, including Barrie, Innisfil, Bradford, Newmarket, Aurora, East Gwillimbury, Holland Landing and surrounding communities.
-
Absolutely, it's one of our specialties. We know both markets well and can help you sell in one and buy in the other with a single, coordinated plan.
-
Not at all. Many of our clients reach out six months to a year before they move. We're happy to answer questions, share market insight and help you get prepared, whenever you're ready.
-
Yes. For higher-end listings we build a custom strategy around the home: elevated presentation, exceptional photography and video, staging, premium print materials and targeted digital and social marketing that positions it for the right buyer.
-
Absolutely, it's one of the things clients thank us for most. We'll connect you with the mortgage professionals, lawyers, inspectors, stagers, movers, contractors, painters, flooring and insurance contacts we trust, during your move and long after it.
